Who is Dylan?
I am an Agile Coach with a passion for helping organizations to help their employees succeed. I am a firm believer that the collective whole of a team is more powerful and knowledgeable than any one or two people. Agile gives teams an opportunity to own their work causing their careers to flourish and their companies to excel.
Tell us more about your role in Progrexion.
I am a Release Train Engineer by title but I also help coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Team Members to be Agile. I aid in software releases and making sure our teams are performing at a high level while also providing regular coaching and guidance to others.
What is the most difficult part of your job? But the most rewarding one?
The most difficult part is getting others to buy in to what I am coaching on. But when they do, it is well worth the wait.
Is there anything that you would change about your professional path?
I would not change anything about my professional path. I do, however, try to keep an open mind to necessary shifts that may appear in the future.
What’s your key strategy for the development of your company?
Treat your people well and empower them.
What do you think about the next period of time, keeping in mind the pandemic and the new business climate? How will your industry be affected?
I am in a Credit Repair company at the moment and it has had a serious and heavy impact on our business. This has made the current climate even more challenging to gain trust and implement an Agile mindset.
Please name a few technologies which have the greatest impact on your business.
There are too many here to describe. We rely heavily on APIs with multiple technologies. We are currently doing all we can to make sure our teams are focused on using the correct and most useful technologies.
